The CME is started at 9am which was attended by nearly 60 Physician & IMA doctors of Ahmednagar Hospital in presence of Dr. Daule (IMA President, Ahmednagar), Dr. P. G. Gandal (DHO, Ahmednagar), Dr. Nirmal Surya (Neurologist, Mumbai), Dr. Ravindra Somani (Neurologist, Ahmednagar), Dr. Rahul Dhoot (Neurologist, Ahmednagar), Dr. Mukund Vidhate (Neurologist, Ahmednagar) & Dr. S. M. Sonawane (Civil Surgeon). This CME is Accreditated by MMC for 2 Credit points. The camp was inaugurated with lighting of Lamp by Hon. Shri. Ravindra Binawale, Chief Executive Officer, Zillah Parishad, Ahmednagar Dr. Nirmal Surya, Founder Trustee & Chairman, Epilepsy Foundation Dr. P. S. Gandal, District Health Officer, Ahmednagar, Dr. Daule, IAM President, Dr. Ravindra Somani & Dr. S. M. Sonawane, Civil Surgeon, Ahmednagar. The patients come from various district as well as from Ahmednagar, patients various age & both sexes were waiting in the morning and total of 211 patients suffering from epilepsy were examined by the team of doctors & Therapist. Besides epilepsy patients there were patients suffering from MR with epilepsy and other disability were also seen by the team and necessary instruction & treatment was suggestion. An EEG room was set up with 3 EEG Machines by 4 EEG technicians. A total of 44 EEGs were done.
Every Patient’s data was recorded for future reference and follow up. A Team consisting of a
Clinical Psychologist, One Physiotherapist, Two Occupational Therapists & Eight Speech
Therapists from Mumbai & Pune were also present to evaluate & treat patients. They
treated 136 Patients overall. (CP= 27, PT= 19, OT= 44 & ST= 46). Dentist Dr. Shruti Lad evaluate
20 patients.
All the patients were given 3 months free medication out of which Epilepsy Foundation has
arranged for 75 patients with the help of various Pharma Companies (Intas, Sun & Sanofi).
Street Play was done at 5 places & the response was encouraging from public. The Camp
ended at 3.00pm & the team departed for Mumbai with great satisfaction.
