FRED RANCH GENERAL INFORMATION

Guarantee : All bulls are guaranteed against breeding

injury for the first breeding season. Breeding season is

defined as the 90 day period following the first turn out

of the bulls. In the event of a problem, the buyer is re-

sponsible to return the animal to Fred Ranch. Please

notify us as soon as possible when an injury occurs. If a

suitable replacement bull is available, he will be provid-

ed. If no bull is available, credit for the amount of bulls

purchase price will be given for the next year’s bull sale.

This guarantee does not include death loss.

Terms & Conditions: Cattle sell under the suggested

terms and conditions of the American Angus Association.

Terms of sale are cash or check. All cattle must be settled

for at the conclusion of the auction. Cattle are property

of the buyers as soon as sold.

Semen Interest in Bulls: Fred Ranch is retaining 1/3

revenue sharing semen interest in every bull selling in

this sale. Full possession and full salvage value sells on all

bulls unless otherwise noted.

Trucking Arrangements: Bulls will be delivered free by

Fred Ranch in the state of Nebraska. Surrounding states

visit with Jamie & Kay on the accommodations.

Herd Health: The Fred Ranch bulls have had a complete

vaccination program. Fred Ranch bulls have ben scrotal

measured and semen evaluated by Dr. Brett Andrews,

DVM of Burwell, NE. All bulls on the sale offering are

virgin bulls.

Viewing of Cattle: Fred Ranch bulls can be view at the

ranch near Rose anytime prior to sale day. All bulls will

be penned in Lot groups for you inspection on sale day.

Welcome to our annual bull sale. We feel we have brought

a great set of bulls packed with genetics for you to choose from.

We have to offer this year "virgin" 2 year old bulls that were too

young for last years sale, along with fall yearlings as well as our

yearling offering.

All our bulls were grown and developed under the supervision of

Dr. Mark Tracy, DVM with McNess Nutrition. The development of

these bulls has been on a high roughage ration. The genetics of

these bulls come up through 59 years of breeding Charolais cattle.

Fred Ranch has made it one of their goals to raise cattle with low

birth weights for problem free calving and to have great disposi-

tions and structure while still attaining growth. Fred Ranch feels

the cattle industry needs to buy bulls from a program that can offer many traits, instead of being strong in only one or two.

Fred Ranch feels their program can full fill this thought. Charolais bulls are noted for their extended breeding years, and abil-

ity to breed more cows during hot weather. Charolais and Charolais cross cattle being fed out in feedlots during hot summer

months have more of an advantage coping with the hot weather over other breeds. With many of the calf producers calving

late spring, this puts these charolais cross cattle with in the right time period for the feeder to combat the heat, cut death loss,

and make money. Keep in mind cattlemen, we sell Embyros, partner on some flushes and sell flushes outright. Semen is also

available. this year we are starting to sell some semen on one of our herd sires Fred Maximo Profit 0419. He has produced

moderate productive females and a proven bull to use on first calf heifers. Take a look at his pedigree numbers and prodigy

throughout this catalog.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE AS AN ABSENTEE BUYER We have made preparations to bid and buy your livestock through Superior Productions’ “Call or Click-To-Bid” service for those unable to attend in person on sale day. Select the registration form for Superior Productions and print the registration form, fill it out and fax it in to Superior Productions at (817) 378-3380 with a signature on it, or scan and email the form to [email protected]. Upon receipt of this information Superior will call you with a buyer’s number and the bid line phone number that you will use on sale day to place bids over the phone.

Click-To-Bid. This is Superior’s online bidding platform for cattle buying. Please note that high speed internet is required – this is not for dial-up or

We are very pleased to offer semen from this Charolais herd sire who is doing every thing we could possibly hope for with his proven progeny. Used on heifers with no problems but he should cause we bred his ancestors for these different traits and not just growth. 1/18/2016 Taylor Land and Cattle has been utilizing Charolais bulls on our 1st calf heifers for the last 4-5 years. I feel we have a better calf with more pounds and growth from our 1st calf heifers when you put the cross in them. We’ve been very selective in the Charolais bulls we use. Selecting from moderate and negative birthweight Epds. Breeding Charolais is comparable to breeding Black Angus with comparison to strain and assist needed for calving. During the selection process, I always ask the producer “would you use that bull on a heifer”. Our end product results in more of the heifers calves at the weight we desire for market, since we have started investing in the Charolais Bulls.

Guarantee : All bulls are guaranteed against breeding

injury for the first breeding season. Breeding season is

defined as the 90 day period following the first turn out

of the bulls. In the event of a problem, the buyer is re-

sponsible to return the animal to Seevers Angus. Please

notify us as soon as possible when an injury occurs. If a

suitable replacement bull is available, he will be provid-

ed. If no bull is available, credit for the amount of bulls

purchase price will be given for the next year’s bull sale.

Terms & Conditions: Cattle sell under the suggested

teams and conditions of the American Angus Association.

Terms of sale are cash or check. All cattle must be settled

for at the conclusion of the auction. Cattle are property

Semen Interest in Bulls: Seevers Angus reserve the

option to retain an interest on any sale bull to be an-

We would like to invite you to our 3rd Annual Bull Sale March 19th, 2016 at Burwell Livestock Market. Sale

will start at 1:00 pm. We continuing to sell bulls with the Fred Ranch this year and a lot of the bulls are carry-

ing on the Fred genetics.

Here at Seevers Angus we have set extremely high goals and standards. We continue to focus our breeding

program on raising the right kind of cattle for todays demands. We continue to pursue fertility with maternal

traits promoting longevity along with feed efficiency in our cattle. Our program is all about females first, we

feel like to make a superior bull you have to have a superior female first. Through our embryo work we are

reaching out to try to find and raise the best females that fit our program.

In developing our bulls, our goal is to grow and develop these bulls to be

sound, athletic, and be able to get through the first 90 days of breeding

season in good condition. These bulls are developed on a high roughage

ration under the supervision of Dr. Mark Tracy, DVM with Furst-McNess.

In breeding for maternal genetics, this bull offering also brings great per-

formance and carcass merit, to also perform in the feedlot.
