Dispersion adhesives on the basis of polyvinyl acetate (PVAc, known as “white glue”) are low-emission and are widely applied in the furniture industry for cold bonding

Project goal: Further development to create a low-formaldehyde dispersion adhesive on the basis of a renewable raw material (sugar) for the heat bonding of surfaces and particles in the production of wood-based materials

Lightweight materials are in demand for insulation and packaging. Petrochemical-based foam materials are commonly used.

Climate-friendly and recyclable alternatives: foams made from wood and other lignocellulosic raw materials and residual materials (e.g. corn cobs)

Stability through the wood’s own cohesiveness at bulk densities from 50 kg/m³ to 250 kg/m³
