• SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT IS A SERVICE THAT ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS OBTAIN INTEGRATED EMPLOYMENT (AT LEAST MINIMUM WAGE) IN THE COMMUNITY WHO OTHERWISE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO WORK WITHOUT SUPPORTS.

DD Division’s Post-Secondary Services

Provided funding (FY’13-FY’16)to Kennesaw State University (Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth) for the purpose of increasing staff capacity and ability to serve more students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Partnered with the Center for Leadership in Disability (CLD) to develop a request for proposal to identify possible universities interested in developing post-secondary programs.

Identified and provided the initial start-up funding for the two (2) new post-secondary programs in the state of Georgia (CSU and UGA).
