The mean temperature is about 11° C (53° F ) at Paris and

15° C (59° F ) at Nice. In central and southern France, annual

Paris to 100 cm (39 in) at Bordeaux. Rainfall is heavy in Brittany, the

northern coastal areas, and the mountainous areas, where it

farms. Dairy products, pork, poultry, and apple production are

concentrated in the western region. Beef production is located

in central France, while the production of fruits, vegetables,

and wine ranges from central to southern France.  France is a

expanding its forestry and fishery industries.

Religious Influences: There is freedom of religion in

France. France guarantees freedom of religion as a

constitutional right and the government generally

respects this right in practice. A long history of

violent conflict between groups led the state to

break its ties to the Catholic Church early in the

1800s and adopt a strong commitment to

maintaining a totally secular public sector.

St. Tropez: Located on French, Riviera. Has been used for

fashion models.

Chamonix: Famous ski resort in French Alps. Site of the 1st

winter Olympics in 1924.
