SPECIAL NOTE
Students of the University who have been granted leave
of absence for Semester 1 and/or 2 or deferral of entry
that wishes to pursue Summer School should register at
the start of the Summer School, for Summer School only.
Students who are on leave of absence for an entire year
and who wish to do summer school will be required to
pay miscellaneous fees.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
Registration includes three components all of which must
be completed as follows:
Online Selection and Approval of Courses
Pay fees online, at the Bursary /Bank etc. for
financial clearance
Check approval online
COURSE SELECTION
Students will be required to select courses via the
Campus online Student Administration System (SAS).
Student can register:
*Exams Only (MEX)
*Lab Exemption Only (MLX)
*Full Course (M11)
*NB: Override approval for Exams Only and Lab Exemption
will be granted by the Department Summer School Coordinator.
Students are required to confirm with their respective department
if they are eligible for Exams Only or Lab Exemption status.
Students will only be eligible to register for a maximum
of 12 credits.
Changes to registration after June 7, 2010 can only be
made by Academic Board through the Dean’s Faculty
Office. This request will attract a fee of $1,000.00 per
transaction.

TUITION PAYMENT
Payments can be made online using the UWI Mona
e-commerce system at
http://www.mona.uwi.edu/studinfo/fees
Fees can also be paid at the following locations without
a UWI generated payment voucher (Paymaster, Bill
Express, UWI Bursary Cashier, UWI (Mona)
Community Co-operate Credit Union Limited and NCB
island-wide.
*Late Registration Add/Drop Fee is J$1,000.00 per
transaction.
Special arrangements can be made for students who
wish to pursue summer school, but are faced with
financial difficulties. These students are required to
complete the Special Arrangement/Extension of
Payment Date Form using the Bursary Online Student
System (BOSS). There website address is:

REFUND OF FEES
Students requesting refunds are required to complete the
Refund/Payment Request Form, which is available at
the Student Administrative Services Section (SASS) no
later than June 12, 2010 to initiate the process.
Refund penalty is charged as follows:
No penalty before June 1, 2010
25% of fees up to June 12, 2010
50% of fees up to June 19, 2010.
Requests submitted after June 19, 2010 will
NOT be processed and NO Refund will be
granted.
NO Refunds will be granted to students who
sat Course Work and or Final Examinations.
Students who complete their payment (with
special arrangement) after June 19, 2010 are not
eligible for a refund.

REGISTRATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
AND SPECIALLY ADMITTED STUDENTS
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
1. Download Application Form
2. Submit form via fax to the International Exchange Office
(fax#1876-970-4471).
3. Contact Mrs. Carol Williams
([email protected]) or Ms.
Hermine Tyrell ([email protected]) for any queries.
4. Students will be informed if they meet matriculation
requirements.
5. UWI will provide an offer of acceptance so student can obtain a student visa (where necessary).
6. Pay fee before coming.
7. Check with the Summer School Coordinator for final
approval.
SPECIALLY ADMITTED STUDENTS
Special admission is open to applicants wishing to pursue one or
more courses listed in our catalogue of courses.

2. Take the form to the Department offering the course and
request that they approve the course by signing next to
the course name.
3. Take the signed form to the Admissions Section.

Prince 4. Await confirmation from the Admissions Section that
your offer of entry has been approved and package
prepared.
5. Accept the offer by indicating on the enclosed acceptance
sheet.
6. Register for the course.
7. Pay the fees.
