Fox School of Business PhD graduate Snehal Awate focuses her research on newly emerging industries, emerging markets,

economic geography, innovation networks and patent research. Awate has been appointed as an assistant professor of strategy at the prestigious Indian School of Business. With the guidance of Professor Ram Mudambi, Awate co-authored a paper in the Global Strategy Journal that takes an in-depth look at how emerging-market multinational enterprises are catching up in knowledge-intensive emerging industries. Awate earned a grant from the Ernst & Young-SKOLKOVO Institute for Emerging Market Studies to support her work with Mudambi. She also received the High Achievement Award and second place in the completed dissertation competition at the Fox School. Awate has been published in the proceedings of the sixth IEEE Consumer Communication and Network Conference. She also has a paper under review at the Journal of International Business Studies.
