Welcome
Thank you for being here for worship this Sunday! Our mission at First Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We are inspired by the words of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, who encouraged believers to “do all the good you can, in all the ways you can.”

The Music Department would like to say thank you for the gracious gift from a church member’s estate. The donation was used to purchase equipment and Orff instruments for Children’s Choirs, additional Handbells for Adult and Children’s handbell choirs, and new robes for the Wesley Chancel Choir. This family’s love for FUMC MB and the music department is overwhelming and we are grateful recipients of their love and support.

Christmas & New Year 2017 Sunday School Updates:
Christmas Day Sunday School There will not be Sunday School or Nursery offered this morning. Please plan to come
and reconnect with our wonderful complete church family!
New Year’s Day Sunday School Adult Sunday School classes will decide in their individual class if they will be meeting.
Please contact the class leader for specific class details. Our children, youth, and
nursery class will not meet January 1, 2017. We hope you can join us as we kick off the
year together at First UMC!
Worship with Family on Christmas Morning Christmas falls on a Sunday this year. I know you have family traditions and the
children want to be with their presents. We will have a combined 10 am worship
service in the sanctuary for those who choose to add Christmas morning worship
with their church family as a part of their traditions. All are welcome, so bring the
crying babies, fidgety toddlers, visiting family and friends who “didn’t bring
church clothes”, and teenagers who would rather be alone with their i-phones.
We will sing some old Christmas hymns, hear a short meditation, as we celebrate
the most precious gift given - the Christ Child.
