MEDITATION FOR THE WEEK“And as they were eating, Yahshua took bread, and blessed, and broke it; and he gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. •­ Choir­rehearsal­will­be­conducted­a­half­hour­following­the­close­of­services.­All­choir­members­are­asked­to­attend.

•­ The­Bible­class­for­Obadiah­School­of­the­Bible­is­cancelled­for­this­week.­Work­of­the­Ministry­class­will­be­held­on­Tuesday­at­5­p.m.

•­ A­special­word­of­appreciation­is­extended­to­everyone­who­came­out­to­volunteer­some­time­to­lighten­the­workload­of­the­brethren­who­daily­labor­in­the­harvest­field­at­the­Home­Offices.­May­Almighty­Yahweh­bless­you­abun-dantly,­and­may­you­be­adequately­rewarded­in­the­coming­Kingdom­of­Yahweh.­

•­ Almighty­Yahweh,­our­Creator,­has­bestowed­a­great­blessing­upon­human-kind­in­giving­them­a­Sabbath­day.­He­wishes­His­people­to­rest,­to­refresh­their­minds­with­spiritual­food,­and­to­refresh­their­physical­bodies­with­rest.­Let­

us­prepare­diligently­for­the­coming­of­the­Sabbath­day­so­that­when­its­gates­open,­we­may­be­ready­to­meet­our­Elohim.­Next­week,­Yahweh’s­Sabbath­day­will­begin­at­7:36­p.m.,­Friday­evening,­April­7,­which­is­the­time­of­sundown­in­our­locality.­

•­ Food for thought:­Material Wealth Hides Spiritual Poverty “‘For he who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having

forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.’ (2 Peter 1:9). They have forgotten virtue, knowledge, self-control, patience, holiness, brotherly kindness (or phila-delphia), and love (or agape). Those people who lack those noble character traits are blind. The Laodicean assembly obviously lacked them because they were self-centered, materialistic, thinking only of themselves. They declared, ‘We are rich and increased with riches, and why do we need the Kingdom? We do not need the spiritual characteristics that Yahshua the Messiah Himself taught.’ Materialism will suffice to replace spiritual pursuits, the Laodiceans imagine....

“In effect, the Laodiceans have rejected the authority and the Name of Yahweh and the Name of Yahshua. This modern era is a Laodicean age wherein we are now living and religion has become greatly weakened, in many instances a mere formality. It is true that the modern liberal attitude is bent upon marginalizing the Bible and religion, making it relatively without influence in peoples’ lives. If you wish to receive eternal life, you must rekindle the light of Yahweh’s Word in your life, allowing its voice to speak to you, and then act on what it says.”
