What Prayer Is:

The channel through which we connect with the grace of God to secure needed helps – Heb. 4:16.

Doing warfare with the invisible to achieve the impossible – Eph. 6:12.

Platform for exchanging your burdens for God’s blessings – 1 Pet. 5:7.

What Prayer Is:

Platform for supernatural empowerment.

The processing plant of vision, for every “thus says the Lord” is a possibility which must be taken to God in prayer.

An attitude. It is communicating and fellowshipping with God to receive what He has already given you through Christ Jesus.

Things to Note: They were not petitioning God to do

anything. They ministered to the Lord and fasted.

Ministering to the Lord is the prayer of praise and worship.

God made man so He would have someone to have fellowship with.

Ministering to the Lord means telling Him how much we love Him. It is

praising Him for who He is. It is thanking and

worshipping Him for His goodness and mercy.

Understand that no earthly parent ever enjoy the fellowship of his children more than God enjoys the fellowship of His sons and daughters.

It is in the atmosphere of praise and worship that God can move more readily. More often the Holy Spirit manifests Himself during this kind of prayer.

Testimony of baby with convulsion.

Thus, the prayer of praise and worship will work on behalf of another person when nothing else works.

This type of prayer brings deliverance – Acts 16: 22-26. They sang praises unto the Lord. Midnight hour can be literal, but is

symbolic of times of seeming darkness, or tests and trials in our lives.

In the midnight hour, anyone can pray, but it

takes a person of faith to sing praises, too.

When we face trials, our attitude is important. How we look at a situation determines how or if we will come out of them. Paul and Silas were not griping &

complaining. These are results of doubt & unbelief – Hebrews 4:3.

Thanking Him for the privilege and honour of suffering for His Name.

They were loud, too. Whatever is in your heart will come

out of your mouth – Matt. 12:34.

In the early church, the disciples were effective in everything they did for the

Lord because they were always (constantly)

praising and worshipping God.

- Luke 24:50-53; Acts 2:46-47.

God’s power is manifested when His people praise Him.- 2 Chronicles 20:15-17, 21-

25.

We must develop the habit of engaging the prayer of praise and worship. Letting it flow freely from the heart.

A very vital kind of scriptural prayer, ministering unto the Lord—waiting upon the Lord in praise and worship.
