A flexible multi-purpose structure built for and inspired by the people.

The Tahrir Pavilion is a hub designed for public gathering, speech, and voting. Its overall appearance is a sculptural representation of the revolutionary individuals two primary tools. The harbinger of revolution, information, is what drives people to act. Paired with the hands that take action. Whether as a closed fist showing unity, and solidarity. Or as an open palm, embracing peace and fellowship. The pavilions light weight structural tubing allows for efficient (de)construction, as well as the flexibility to conform to the users needs. Photovoltaic panels help to create a closed loop system generating its own energy vital for the dissemination of information.

Portland is known for its unique culture. Dubbed the Rose City with its vibrant and beauti-ful Rose Gardens, it also hosts a thriving music scene. Privacy and intimacy are two factors that a healthy garden and the process of creation both share. The creative process is the inspirational driver behind the Garden City Music Academy. The academy is shrouded in a synthesizer-esque facade, while the inside is organized around mul-tiple public atriums, along with an intimate front row only auditorium. Like a fallen nurse log fosters life in the forest, the Garden City Music Academy aims to foster creativity from within.

With global population exponentially growing there is an increasing trend of migration into cities. UN Habitat estimates that by 2030 60% of Earths population will live within metropolitan confines. Paired with the vast implementation of petroleum based industrial agriculture and the sad reality of phenomenons such as “food deserts” it’s time we challenge the structure of how we feed ourselves. Future Foods stands as an organization striving to help advance an irreplaceable industry in which each and every person shares a vested inter-est. By producing and providing goods for the local community Future Foods hopes to inspire people to inquire and become educated about how and where our food comes from. By producing goods near the source of consumption the strain on our already overextended agricultural system can be lessened. Being proactive not only can increase the quality of life in its direct proxim-ity, but it can also help to make the world a better place for everyone.

Fashion along with all other design-based industries thrive off ingenuity, innovation, and cunning. The Lantern Fashion house intends to be a guiding light toward Copenhagens blossoming fashion scene. By being directly adjacent to a historically preserved building The Lantern aims to stand within its surroundings, complimenting the traditional urban fabric. Materiality and location drive the form in this case. With traditional brick masonry wrapping the walls and roof, modern glass and steel catch the eye of the passerby. Fashion is meant to be seen, and The Lantern ensures it is noticed night and day.
