From Austin, Texas, Bren Bauer is

an entrepreneur, artist, and designer. In

new York City, she has carved a niche for

her residential work. Bren is meticulous

about the details, and sets standards

in implementing quality materials and

workmanship. her portfolio includes

high-rise apartments, terrace design,

hospitality, commissioned artwork,

and art installations. Bren creates and

implements designs for custom furniture,

light fixtures and millwork. As a designer,

her philosophy is that all projects require

an understanding of the homeowner’s

lifestyle and how they live now and aspire

to live in their new home.

with her fine arts background

she brings her artistic sensibilities into all

aspects of her work. Bren’s art is featured

as a commissioned painting in The Rodger

Federer Suite in Rosewood hotel’s “The

Carlyle” noted by The new York observer

as a “gargantuan quasi-Picasso”. her

love of color triggered her interest in

design. She creates custom palettes

for designers, architects, and clients,

including a collaborative project for the

Macy’s Foundation and The Educational

Alliance in new York City. Bren personally

oversees all aspects of her projects down

to the last detail such as throwing a soiree

for her clients to celebrate their new

home. Bren’s work is greatly influenced

by art, design, photography, travel,

science, and nature. She is inspired by

her business mentors and supports the

empowerment and leadership growth in

her fellow women entrepreneurs. Coming

soon, custom textile and rug designs and

charity work to bring beauty and color in

the lives of families in need.

The fortunata lIVInG brand espouses

the virtues to create a beautiful, blessed

life. It expresses the passion and spirit of

the designer and CEo. Inspired by Bren’s

appreciation of beauty and excellence, she

strives to bring these experiences to others

and in her community. From creating

beautiful designs to managing projects

down to the last detail, the designer’s

hands-on approach and high standards

are in play from a project’s start to finish.

Bren believes that while renovations can

be challenging, the end experience needs

to be a beautiful celebration. It is about

the finishing details, the interior design of

the space, adding flowers and candles and

turning down a client’s sheets.

Full service and personal touches

include stocking the fridge with a client’s

favorite beverages and foods. And finally,

hosting private soirees to celebrate a

client’s new home, including event and

menu planning. This full service, personal

hospitality has become a stamp of the

fortunata lIVInG brand.
