Easy Way to Solve the Rubik's Cube

Solving the Rubik's Cube is no easy task. Most of us cansolve one side without any problem. This web page

is for those of you who cannot solve the puzzle, after

completing one side.

Believe it or not, you only need 4 formulas to

complete the rest of the puzzle. I know that there are

many similar formulas could produce the same

solution, some are even faster than the ones I'musing. If you know of a faster formula that produces

the same result, please let me know.

The following 'Legend' and 'Superscript Legend'

describes how to use the formulas. The diagram

illustrates what each of the formula will produced.

By following the formulas, only the top third section

of the Cube will changed according to the diagram,

the bottom two third section of the Cube will remainunchanged.

Please note that Formula 2 is the reverse of Formula

1, and Formula 4 is the reverse of Formula 3.

LEGEND

F = Front ThirdB = Back (or rear) Third

L = Left Third

R = Right Third

U = Up (or top) Third

D = Down (or bottom) Third

SUPERSCRIPT LEGEND

L = Turn to the Left (or Turn Counter Clockwise)

R = Turn to the Right (or Turn Clockwise)

2 = Turn Two Times either direction (or Turn Upside-down)

After you completed the top side of the Cube, turn the

completed side to the right. You can position two-

third of the Cube correctly by using Formula 1 only.

Do not worry about orientation at this time, we can

do the flip after all the pieces are in the right

location. Using the diagram for Formula 1, positionthe correct middle piece of the bottom row on the

left side of the middle row, as shown "*" on

Example A. After the first rotation, the correct

middle piece of the bottom row will be at the middle

of the top row, as shown on Example B.

Next, find the correct middle piece of the top row, and

position it on the left side of the middle row again, as

shown "*" on Example C. After the second rotation,

both the middle piece of the top row and the bottomrow should be in the correct location, as shown on

Example D.

If the piece you're looking for is at the other side of the

Cube, simply turn the Cube over, and using

Formula 1 or Formula 2 to push the piece you are

looking for to the left side of the Cube. Go back and

put the correct middle piece of the top row on the

left side as described above. Next, turn the Cubeover, and follow the same procedure to complete

two-third of the Cube. See Example E & F.

After you completed two-third of the Cube, turn the

completed side down. Rotate the top third until you

have positioned the lower right corner in the correct

position, as shown "*" on Example G. Do not worry

about orientation at this time, we can do the flip

after all the pieces are in the right location. Using

Formula 3 or Formula 4 to arrange all four corners

in the correct position, as shown on Example H.

If you have no problem following my instructions so far,

you should be able to put the rest of the pieces in its

correct position by using Formula 1 and Formula 2.

By now all the pieces should be located in the correct

position. Formula 5 will flip two pieces at the sametime as shown in the diagram. And finally, Formula

6 will help you flip two corner pieces at the same

time to complete the puzzle.
