Effi cient part productionCar body part production, based on panels, profi les or castings, experiences a constant pressure: Mastering new lightweight materials, realising higher production and cost effi ciencies as well as optimising qualities, e.g. through greater manufacturing precision, constitute permanent challenges. This is also because the press plant and tool making, together with the foundry, constitute the fundament of industrial vehicle manufacturing, infl uencing, through the quality of their results, many subsequent production steps. Today, especially the processing of new lightweight car body materials such as press hardened steels, high strength aluminium alloys and, increasingly, fi bre reinforced plas-tic composites and their industrial processability are under intense discussion. Equally, demands for higher production fl exibility and a globally uniform pro-duction quality are on the agenda.

In this situation, the Automotive Circle International conference on “Forming in Car Body Engineering” again gathers its international network of automo-tive engineering experts in Bad Nauheim, Germany. With trailblazing technicalpresentations and in-depth debates, the conference again aims to defi ne today’s technical state of the art and future trends in the production of auto-motive car body parts, based on panels, profi les as well as castings.

The conference addresses …… international automotive OEM engineers responsible for the pre-develop-ment, development, planning and quality control of car body part production processes, in press plant, tool making and foundry, as well as their system suppliers and engineering service providers involved in relevant development projects.

Focus-Workshops– in English language –

As an interactive benefi t, the conference stages intensive Focus-Workshops on the afternoon of the fi rst conference day, dedicated to specifi c current issues in car body part production processes and moderated by renowned OEM experts in the particular fi eld. Choose the workshop that best suits your individual interests and bring up your aspects for discussion. Positive side effect: The Focus-Workshops effectively bring you in contact with international peers who share your interests, maximizing your networking possibilities.

Live-polls on siteDuring the two conference days, live polls among the auditorium will be held via an automated voting system, taking the opportunity to gain some insight into the considerations of this unique assembly of international car body engineering experts. The results will be displayed immediately in the conference plenum and will also be documented for all conference participants. Delegates will also have the possibility to address the conference plenum with their own questions via this system.

TutorialForming & Press Technology – in German language –

Before the start of the main conference, the four-hour tutorial on “For-ming & Press Technology” offers newcomers to the fi eld the opportunity to make themselves acquainted with the fundamentals of panel forming and industrial press plant technology. In this way, participants wishing to review these fundamentals may prepare themselves in an optimal way for the high-level technical presentations of the main event.

The tutorial addresses:\\ Engineers with responsibilities in car body part development,

pre-development, process planning and production, who are in need of a fundamental overview of press plant technology

\\ Young engineers with limited practical experience

\\ Experienced engineers who have taken on new tasks concerning press plant processes wishing to refresh their knowledge

Please note that the tutorial and the main conference are indepen-dent events. Separate pre-registration for the tutorial is required, since participation is limited. Please also note that the tutorial will be held in German language!
