FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WSO travels back to the age of cool with Vegas’ favourite sons: The Rat Pack!
Winnipeg, MB – April 2, 2015 – Four veteran Las Vegas entertainers join the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (WSO) to bring the bright lights of The Strip to Centennial Concert Hall with the coolest cats around -‐ The Rat Pack, April 10-‐12. Vegas' favourite sons: Frank, Joey, Sammy and Dean, ruled in the 50s and 60s with carefree sophistication and unprecedented entertainment. The cultural icons, who referred to themselves as “The Summit” or “The Clan,” performed in sold-‐out casinos and night clubs, and appeared in films such as Ocean’s 11, Robin and the 7 Hoods and Sergeants 3. Often times, when one of the members was scheduled for a performance, other members would spontaneously show up causing frenzy amongst fans. For three nights only, the WSO recreates those Mad Men days with incredible vocal performances and unbridled humour from four Vegas greats including the number one Frank Sinatra performer in the world, Brian Duprey, who won FOX TV's Performing As. His uncanny vocal resemblance will have audiences thinking ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’ is on stage with the WSO. Duprey is joined by Tom Wallek as Joey, Drew Anthony as Dean and Kyle Diamond as Sammy, with Emmy-‐nominated conductor and music director Lon Bronson. Classic hits include That's Amore, My Way, Mr. Bojangles, Fly Me to the Moon, I've Got You Under My Skin, It Was a Very Good Year, That Old Black Magic, and many more.
