Minimum HINGED Door Size:• Based on Prime Rail/Stile Width and Prime Panel: 7”W x 7”H.• We often get the question: “Your drawer fronts are 5 7/8”H, why isn’t the mini-

mum door width 5 7/8”W?”. If we were to use a drawer front turned to become a door, the rails and stiles would be reversed and beside a standard door, this would look odd, especially with a stained finish.

• Hinged doors smaller than the listed minimum width will be manufactured with slab doors.

Minimum PULL OUT Door Size:• Based on 2”W Stiles and a Prime Panel: 5 1/2”W x 5 1/2”H.• As the width of the door decreases, the stiles will remain full size until the

center panel reaches 1 1/2”W, at that point the stile width will decrease until it reaches the minimum of 2”.

Maximum Door Size:• 24”W x 48”H• Wider/Taller doors will have intermediate cross rail and multiple panels. Cross

Rails can be removed, however this voids the warranty.

• Drawer Front Ordering Methodology: As the drawer front height increases beyond the default top drawer height (which is different for each cabinet line), the drawer rails will increase in size until the full rail width is attained. The center panel will remain the same until the rails have reached full width. At this point the center panel will begin to increase along with the drawer height.

• The information below is based on the prime door rail width of 2 3/4”. The dimensions shown WILL change if a rail size other than 2 3/4” is selected. • The standard finish for the back of all doors and drawer fronts is base stain without shader or glaze or base paint without glaze. An additional charge will apply to finish the backs of the doors and drawers exactly like the fronts.

• Elmwood highly recommends using the “1/16 Radius edge” in place of “Square edge” when a painted finish is required, as this edge will mini-mize edge chipping.

• Painted wood doors will develop hairline fractures at joints on rails and stiles as well as rails and center panels. THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE.

• 5 Piece MDF doors will telegraph the joint location between the stile and rail. There will be open gaps at the joint between the panel and the rail. As a result, surface hairline fractures may develop at the joints. THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE.

• Veneer center panels will absorb stain differently than solid rails and stiles which may affect the overall appearance of the finished door. Natural fin-ishes also contain this characteristic.

• Glazed finishes appear different on different doors styles, different outside edge profiles as well as on different wood species.

• It is required that a sample door is viewed before the cabinetry order is placed.
