Hi, Greetings from Foremen Training Institute!
Foremen Training Institute is one of the pioneer Institute, under the Ministry of Skill development and entrepreneurship, and was established in the year 1968 under the German assistance by the Government of India. It offers vocational training under Short term courses, Tailor made courses and long term Craft Instructor courses for up gradation of technological skills and behavioural skills of working Foremen and Supervisors of industrial personnel in line with the Skill India mission.
The Infrastructure facility of FTI, Bengaluru is one of the best and upgraded time and again by German assistance as well as by the Govt of India. Under the World Bank assistance we have set up state of art Electrical and Fabrication (Welding) Laboratories recently.
Our faculties are well experienced and have been trained both within country as well in abroad and conduct regular seminars and workshops for updating and refreshing the knowledge tank.
FTI, Bengaluru has a good library with collection ranging from technical books to general books and journals.
FTI has a decent and moderate hostel with a capacity to accommodate 238 trainees with a dispensary headed by a Chief medical Officer for the health care of trainees.The whole Institute campus is WiFi enabled.
FTI, Bengaluru is entrusted to conduct Assessor Competency Evaluation tests to certify the Assessors who assess the trainees of Modular Employable Skill training programmes of Government of India and also conducts Regional and National Work Skills Competition in association with CII (Confederation of Indian Industry).
A state of art Auditorium with a seating capacity of 400 is an extra value addition facilty at FTI, Bengaluru, where cultural programmes, Blood Donation Camps , Free Eye Check-up, and other student centric events are regularly held.
Since inception, we have trained 47820 trainees in short duration courses and 2425 in long duration courses.
Our honour, if you could spare your precious few minutes in understanding the contents of this calendar, wherein we tried to present the various training activities proposed for the year 2016-17, which will of use for your manpower quality development programs. We also conduct training programs customised to suit your requirements in the areas explained.

a. Application forms can be obtained from the Institute directly or downloaded from our website: www.ftibangalore.gov.in
b. Attested copies of educational qualification & experience to be enclosed along with the application.
c. Nominees sponsored by SSI Should enclose a copy of valid SSI Registration Certificate.
d. Application with necessary enclosures should reach the Institute atleast 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the scheduled course.
e. Preference will be given to candidates from Industries/Government Organizations/Institutions.
f. Application & Registration fee once paid will not be refunded at any cost.
g. Nominees should report at the Institute with the intimation letter on the day of commencement of the course at 9 AM.
h. If Monday happens to be a holiday, the scheduled courses will commence on next working day and if Friday happens to be a holiday, the scheduled course will conclude on the previous working day.
i. The Director may change/cancel any training programme without assigning any reason.
j. Hostel facilities are limited & accommodation is allotted on first come first serve basis.
k. Under any circumstances participants accompanying family members will not be provided room in the hostel. Such requests for family accommodation will not be entertained.
l. The courses will conclude at 5.00 PM on the last working day of the course. Certificates & Relieving Orders will be issued only after 5:00 PM on the last day
