1. Review the directions on our Vault Connect page, paying particular attention to Steps 4 and 5.

2. Click the “Connect” Link at the bottom of this page.

3. This takes you to our affiliate Vault Online Career Library Site. Click the gray "Download Guides" button at the top of the page.

4. You’re now at the Download Guides Page. Scroll down the page and click on the Download Encrypted PDF link for the Guide you want to download or view.

5. A small preview window will open showing your download choice. Click the Download Vault Guide PDF link.

6. If you are using Acrobat 7.x, the window will next display a false error message "The required software was not detected on this computer". Scroll down the page and select the "download your documents" link.

7. You’ll be prompted to download/open a file named "ebx.etd". Choose open, and the file should open automatically with Acrobat Reader.

8. The Guide will be downloaded, and added automatically to "My E-Books" or "My Digital Editions" within Acrobat Reader.

Why am I getting an error message: “You must access X from your affiliate site” ?

Answer: You’ve forgotten to activate your VPN connection.

But my VPN is “on”, and I still get the error message from Vault!

Answer: Make sure your firewall software is not blocking referring URLs.See Step 4 (Firewall Test) of the Vault Download Page.

Why can’t I access Vault or WetFeet from a lab PC, and then email to myself?

Answer: Both companies use DRM (digital rights management) to tie their product to a single user + single PC model to protect their intellectual property.

Where can I print out Insider and Career Guides?

Answer: Direct your output to any Xerox Document Center Printer. Guides are usually100+ pages long and the Xerox printers can print large jobs rapidly and onboth sides of a single page.
