Following a line of praised high performance Fords the expectations for the RS version of the second generation Focus were high. The ride is agile, sharp and very enchanting – and yet it can be disappointing for the typical owner without “rally driver” on his or hers business card. The fast Ford lacks road filtering, and is twitchy and a handful. The amount of available power plays its part, especially after some performance tuning. With KONI Sport shocks fitted, the Focus RS instantly feels a better manageable car. Rather than copying the road it now swallows the surface, proving much more confidence to the driver. With unnecessary input from the wheels eliminated and a better front/rear balance the hot hatch behaves much better corner-in, corner-out and yes: in-between corners as well. Additionally these KONI Sport shock absorbers are equipped with a very wide and usable adjustment range. If you are looking for a more enjoyable occasional B-road detour or beating your Nürburgring lap time: these shocks make it possible.
