MC1509 High Resolution Force Controller Snowboard Force Touch HDK

MC1509 force controller can measure resistance of almost any resistive type matrix multi-touch sensor arrays. MC1509 force controller adopts the cutting-edge multi-touch technology so it can detect pressure applied to multiple point of a sensor (multi-touch).

The SNOWBOARD is an Arduino Leonardo compatible board with an integrated force and capacitive touch sensing controllers. The SNOWBOARD has been designed to be an Arduino compatible prototyping platform to build natural user interface devices, especially those requiring force/pressure and capacitive touch sensing.

Force Matrix Array Sensors Single Point Force Sensors

Kitronyx matrix array has hundreds or even thousands of individual pressure sensitive sensor elements (sensels) by adopting 3D multi-touch sensor technology. Unlike traditional single-point force sensors, this true multi-touch pressure sensing capability provide customers with unlimited applications. Combined with our force controller, our sensors can be used to build a general pressure mapping system, foot pressure mapping system, tactile sensor, multi-touch user input device, 3D force touch input device.

Kitronyx single-zone sensors are thin and flexible pressure sensitive device. Based on customer’s needs, active sensing areas can be easily tuned. Typical force sensing range is up to 2 kg and multiple single zone FORCE sensors can be integrated on a single larger surface which offers a wider range of applications such as a keypad, musical instruments, robotics, etc.
