1. Can any member get a Credit Union Prepaid Card*? Any member aged 16 years or over can apply for a card.

Members aged 16 or 17 require parental consent. Please contact your credit union to obtain a parental consent form.

2. Where can I use my Credit Union Prepaid Card? Your Credit Union Prepaid Card can be used at all locations

where MasterCard cards are accepted, worldwide.

3. Can I use my card abroad? Yes! Your Prepaid card can be used worldwide. Using it outside

the UK is classed as a Foreign Exchange transaction, and the amount spent will be subject to that day’s current rate of exchange as set by MasterCard Worldwide. The equivalent amount in sterling will be deducted from your card balance. Please refer to the Fees and Charges schedule for further details.

4. Can I make purchases or bookings on the Internet or by telephone using my Credit Union Prepaid Card?

Yes. All you need is your card number, expiry date and the 3 digit CVV code on the back of your card.

6. How can I find what my balance is or view transactions for my Credit Union Prepaid Card?a. Visit www.creditunionni.co.uk, or your local credit union

website online. View your card account balance and transactions by clicking on the Prepaid Card link.

Yes, you can reload additional funds to your card account at your credit union. Available funds are accessible immediately using your card. Members’ cards may be used as often as necessary once there are funds available.

8. Is my money secure on my Credit Union Prepaid Card? This is a secure and convenient alternative to carrying cash.

Your money on your card can only be withdrawn with your secret PIN. As your card account balance and details are held in your card account, your money is secure even if you lose your card. Do not disclose your PIN to anyone.
