7.For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;”

Phil. 1:14 “… much more bold to speak the word without fear.”

“Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38

Embarrassed to talk about word of Christ

To be ashamed of the Word of Christ is to be ashamed of Him.

Ashamed to let others know they are members of the Lord’s church

Avoid discussions because others think our teachings are “strange”

Peer Pressure

Causes some to begin doing evil things

Do not want to be regarded as different

We must not go along with anything that is wrong !
