For Immediate Release: Landscape An exhibition of fine art by: Lewka Z. Cims, David Covert, Geri Duffy, and Mark Richards. March 1-March 31, 2012 in the Members Gallery at Concord Art Association. Each of these accomplished artists brings to their work a unique interpretation of our natural environment with poignancy and style. Together, they create a harmony of views that bring us into stronger connection with the majesty of Landscape. Lewka Z. Cims's acrylic paintings “feel like a walk through the forest. Lewka captures the dappled glow of light through trees, of light reflecting off of water, with a delicate craftsmanship he has spent years perfecting.” David Covert’s paintings approach abstraction with textures that evoke the look of fine prints, and distilled layers of color and edges that resemble collage. Geri Duffy’s watercolors have the clarity of light and improvisation that burst from the page. These beautiful New England vistas impress viewers with their emotional impact. Mark Richards’s oil paintings suggest deep subtlety of meaning as dawn flows across the Charles River; a melody of time transitions that touch us emotionally and spiritually. Artists will host an Opening Reception Sunday, March 4, 2pm-4pm at Concord Art Association 37 Lexington Road, Concord MA 01742, 978-369-2578.
