Dear Parents:

Your child has expressed an interest in being a contestant in the Wesson Attendance Center Beau Pageant.

The Junior High/High School Beau Pageant will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 beginning at 6:00

p.m. The pageant location is Copiah-Lincoln Community College Rea Auditorium. Listed below are the beau

pageant guidelines that all contestants must adhere to:

1. Beau contestants may choose to wear the following attire: (a) a tuxedo OR (b) a suit with a tie OR (c)

slacks, sports coat, and tie.

2. There is a smaller entry fee for beau contestants due to only trophies being purchased for the winners.

The entry fee for a beau contestant is $10.00 – ENTRY FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

3. Admission fee is $5.00.

4. Contestants will enter the pageant without charge – all other attendees must pay the admission fee.

5. NO parent is allowed backstage.

6. Johnny Smith Photography will take pictures the night of the pageant. Picture forms with prices will

be sent home. This is a courtesy provided by the yearbook staff but not a requirement. After the

pageant, ALL WINNERS MUST GET THEIR PICTURE MADE FOR THE YEARBOOK AND

NEWSPAPER.

7. Numbers will be drawn randomly and there will absolutely be no swapping of numbers once drawn.

Division, and a Senior Class Beau Division. If participation numbers are low, divisions will be

combined.

9. Aurianna Vaughn and Preston Middleton, last year’s Senior Most Beautiful and Most Handsome, will

crown all beau contestants so all current boys are eligible to participate.

10. Beau contestants will not be required to do individual modeling. Beau contestants in each division

will walk out as a group to a “fun” song and will be called out one-by-one for judging purposes.

11. At the time of judging, beau contestants MAY do something fun to catch the judges’ attention --- for

example, throw a rose, hold a sign that says call me, etc. Make sure you choose in good taste what

you want to do on stage – this is still a formal event and it needs to be something fun, but

appropriate!!! NOTHING VULGAR that would embarrass you, your parents, or the school.

Judges would not think it is funny!

If you would like for your child to participate, please fill out the form below, attach entry fee and return form

and fee by Friday, October 5, 2018 to Mrs. Lisa Smith in Room 77. No forms will be accepted without entry
