Last day of Term 3,
2.30pm finish
Due to great success of last year’s colour run we have decided to repeat the event this year. As
such, we will again be asking the school community to assist with the donation of corn flour.
This will then be dyed to make the coloured powder. (store branded corn flour is perfect for this
process).
We will require about 90kg of corn flour in total to make this a successful event. Please drop off
any donations to the office.
Thank you once again for all your support

SPORTS NEWS
SUMMER SPORT
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Hot Shots Teams for winning their respective District
Premierships. Both teams will compete at DIVISION on October 22nd at Boronia Tennis Club
and we wish them the very best of luck. Congratulations to our Volleyballers, Cricketers and
Softballers for putting up great performances on both days of Summer Sport. Thanks to
Mrs.Stoffels, Mrs Davis and Miss Mustac for coaching and preparing their teams for com-
petition. My intel is that all Wattleview Teams showed great sportsmanship and gave their
best effort on both days.
3/4 HOOPTIME
This is the first year we have taken 3/4 teams to play basketball against teams from other
schools. I always suspected that we had some talent amongst the 3/4s and this was validat-
ed when both our All Star Boys and Girls made their respective Grand Finals and performed
magnificently. Although beaten, both teams should be very proud of themselves as the
standard was very high. The All Star Girls will advance to the Regional Finals as they were
beaten by less than 4 points so that will be exciting for them. Both our Future Stars Teams
played off in Semi-Finals and also performed at a very high level. Our Rookie Teams thor-
oughly enjoyed the day and embraced their opportunity to play a different sport and be part
of a team. Overall, the day was a huge success and I appreciate the army of Wattleview par-
ents and friends who came to support our kids. Thank you to Miss Dovey, Mr.Reardon and
Miss Gregory for coaching and supporting their teams and a massive shout out to Steve
Cordwell (Max’s Dad) and Mickey Zaffa ( Zaffa’s Mum) for giving up their time to coach our
All Star Teams. We appreciate it!!
SPORTS UNIFORMS
Unless you are a Division Athlete or a Division Hot Shots player could you please return your
sports uniform ASAP. Once you have returned them I will checklist you off my list and put
them away for future teams.

Quick note from Manisha
Please book your child into one of the exciting holiday club programs around your area asap as bookings are open now and we are running a superhero theme this term. You can also go on to the Camp Australia website for more details.
PARENTS PLEASE NOTE:
It is of high importance that you cancel your child if they are NOT attending either before or after
school care.
If any parents have any ideas of what they would like to see happen in before and after school care, please drop in
for a chat we are always looking for new ideas!
Does your child do any outer school activities? If so, we would love to have some brochures to put in our commu-
nity folder to help recruit any other children that are looking for outer school activities!
We’re here to make after school care visits the best experience possible – for you and your child. If you have any
questions about the program – please feel free to drop by, meet the team and see what happens in after school
