FOOTBALL TACTICS EVOLUTION 2020During this intense 5-day course coaches will first of all learn that (non-)verbal communication between players is of the highest order in football and can be improved with Football Tactics. Therefore, Raymond Verheijen will present on the principles of communication.
Methodology
Every coach uses exercises like tactical games, position games, pass-ing games and football fitness games. Coaches will learn that these are not independent exercises in itself but should all contribute to the playing style development. Therefore, Raymond Verheijen will present on how to develop methodological steps within each type of exercise. How can the demands within these exercises be increased to gradually overload the communication between players from week to week and from month to month? Next, the coaches will practice this way of thinking themselves by developing methodology for exercises they frequently use with their own team.
Tactical Principles
A playing style is based on tactical principles. These principles for:
1) attacking, 2) transitioning from attacking to defending, 3) defending 4) transitioning from defending to attacking,
should be integrated in all of the above exercises. Therefore, BMG assistant coach Rene Maric will present on implementing tactical principles within exercises. Next, the coaches will practice how to implement these principles themselves within their own exercises.
Football Tactics Periodisation
The exercises and the methodological steps within these exercises are all building blocks for coaches to develop a Football Tactics Periodisation for their team. Within a 48-week team periodisation, the delegates will methodologically plan the development of attack-ing, defending and transitioning from day to day, week to week and month to month.
Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen
Coaches will visit this Bundesliga game to analyse one of the teams. Both clubs will be visited in the days after the game. The coaches will present their analysis to the coaching staff of the team they have analysed.
Borussia Monchengladbach club visit
On Monday the coaches will visit BMG to evaluate the game. There will also be BMG staff presentations and coaches will observe training sessions and visit the BMG Academy.
Bayer Leverkusen club visit
On Tuesday the coaches will visit Bayer Leverkusen to evaluate the game. There will also be BL staff presentations and coaches will observe training sessions.

No family policy
The Mentorship is an intensive week of coach education without anydistraction. So, delegates will not be joined by friends and/or familyduring the course.
TERMS & CONDITIONSPractice what you preach
By registering for this course the delegate confirms he or she will arrive in time before the start of the course and will not depart any earlier than the closure of the course on the final course day. During the course delegates will have the same professional behaviour just like they expect from their players on a daily basis.
Dressing room learning environment
As a coach you take your players outside their comfort zone to allowthem to improve. You create uncomfortable and challenging situa-tions for your players and you expect them to deal with it. This is what we call overload. Raymond Verheijen is well-known for apply-ing this exact same principle when educating coaches. So, this course will not be your normal comfortable coaching course. Ray-mond will create his famous challenging and uncomfortable ‘dress-ing room’ environment to help you accelerate your development as a coach.
