Food Web Poster{Living World
You will be...
Creating a poster and a powerpoint of a complex food web from the provided ecosystem, as a team.
As a Team, The Poster
● Create a poster using magazines, pictures from the internet….○ Energy transfer○ All of the organisms you are assigned○ Draw all the connections within your web
neatly with arrow pointing to where the energy is going.
As a Team, the Presentation
● On Block day and Friday you will be able to put together your google slide presentation, so make sure you have everything ready!○ Describe your ecosystems role in the biosphere○ All the descriptions you were assigned to.○ Must be ENGAGING○ Must be as colorful as this slideshow!
● You will present on the block day!
You will each have your own role
Team Member 1● Define producers, and describe how they get
their energy (google presentation).● 5 Examples of producers (poster)
○ Label each organism in its common name and its type.
● How is matter recycled, describe how they get their energy (google presentation).
● 5 Examples of organisms that recycle matter (poster)○ Label each organism in its common name
and its type.● Define photosynthesis and how it works (google
presentation).
Team Member 2● Define primary consumers, and describe how
they get their energy (google presentation).● 5 Examples of primary consumers (poster)
○ Label each organism in its common name and its type.
● Define herbivores, and describe how they get their energy (google presentation).
● 5 Examples of herbivores (poster)○ Label each organism in its common name
and its type.● Define herbivores, and describe how they get
their energy(google presentation).
Team Member 3● Define secondary consumers, and describe
how they get their energy (google presentation).● 5 Examples of secondary consumers (poster)
○ Label each organism in its common name and its type.
● Define omnivores, and describe how they get their energy (google presentation).
● 5 Examples of omnivores (poster)○ Label each organism in its common name
and its type.● Define energy loss and how it works (google
presentation).
Team Member 4● Define tertiary, and describe how they get their
energy (google presentation).● 5 Examples of tertiary consumers (poster)
○ Label each organism in its common name and its type.
● Define carnivores, and describe how they get their energy (google presentation).
● 5 Examples of carnivores (poster)○ Label each organism in its common name
and its type.● Describe ecosystem, what makes it unique from
the other ecosystems and what makes it similar to other ecosystems (google presentation).
The Bad News● If you only have 3 people in your group, you
still need to do the other parts.● If you have a member that is not doing their
part, you need to still do it, BUT you must inform me WAY before the due date.
● You will present these to the class on Monday
Monday Day, To Do List As a Team● Pick roles● Find pictures for your poster, of the
assigned ecosystem. As an individual ● Find your Examples (total of 10)● On notebook paper, define and
describe assigned vocabulary
Tueday Day, To Do List As a Team● Put images on your poster● Add energy transfer lines● Connect organism interactionsAs an individual ● Add your definitions to the
presentation
Block Day, To Do List As a Team● Finish Poster
○ Draw all the connections● Finish Presentation
○ Finish adding images● Prepare for the presentation on Friday.
