FOOD For Lane County, Lane County’s Regional Food Bank

The State of Oregon has implemented social distancing measures, including temporary school

closures and limiting large gatherings.

You may be asking, ‘What food resources are available in my community’?

This document (combined with the attached files) provides information regarding Lane County

food resources, and guidelines for access and eligibility.

FFLC is part of Lane County’s Emergency Plan, playing a key role to distribute food where and

when it is needed most. We are working with staff, volunteers and partner agencies to respond

to the needs of vulnerable community members, as always, and especially in this sensitive time.

If you are unable to leave your home to access food, we have included our ‘pantry permission

slip’ and pantry eligibility/sign-in form. Use these forms to designate a proxy for food pick-up

from our public pantries.

To receive a food box:Go to a food pantry that is close and convenient to you. For helpfinding one, call FOOD for Lane County at 541-343-2822 or visitwww.foodforlanecounty.org.See if you meet the USDA’s eligibility requirements.If you are without a permanent residence, you can still get food.You do not need to supply identification, a Social Security number orproof of income to get food.You can still get a food box even if you are receiving other benefits,such as food stamps or WIC.Each household can get up to 18 food boxes a year at each pantrylocation.

As of July 1, 2019, FOOD For Lane County began a one-year trialof removing service boundaries for easier access to food pantries.

This new change means that ANY PERSON CAN ACCESS

ANY FOOD PANTRY OF THEIR CHOICE AT ANY TIME.

In the past, FOOD for Lane County had a system that allowed people to go to one “home”pantry for their emergency food needs. Each pantry served an area with service boundaries.

How To Visit a Pantry

Make sure you income qualify: To visit a pantry your household income must be at or below 185% of the federal poverty level. Refer to the chart at the right.

You will not need to show any identification to access food from a Lane County pantry. Some of our partner agencies provide other services and may require other documentation for those services, but never to receive food.

Bring boxes/bags: Please make sure to bring enough bags or boxes to take your food with you. You will be able to receive a 3-5 day supply of food for your household.

You may have to wait: Sometimes lines can be long.

You are welcome to get involved: Many pantries would love your help. Ask personnel if they are looking for volunteers - it's a great way to give back!
