BACKGROUND• Exists for a few reasons:
• Food sustains life• It restores options• It provides hope
• Largest food bank in VA
• Distributes millions of meals a year
• 4 in 10 of the contributions are to children
• Serves more than 114,000 people each month
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank must increase traffic on Instagram account to spread the word (their mission statement) and meet their target public’s interests
TARGET PUBLIC• 18-25 men and women
• Young people who have the financial means to donate small amounts such as canned foods
• Young people who are active in their community and can connect to the need around them
• People who spend their time being charitable and sympathetic
HOW DID WE INTERPRET MISSION STATEMENT?
The food bank as a whole aims to motivate the people in the surrounding areas (men and women ages 18-25) to donate and contribute to the needs in the community around them.
INSTAGRAM CAMPAIGN• Donate food to food bank
• Take a photo with your friends
• Hashtag #HungerHeroToolKit
• Tag Blue Ridge Area Food Bank
• Incentive: get reposted (public recognition)
