The Food Bank is intended to serve Petra Church attenders, and also the ELANCO School District region as a means of evangelistic outreach. It is designed to ease the financial burden of these people in particular:
DONATE FUNDS: Jesus states clearly that we are to help those in need. There are many people, most of them working, who find themselves in tough financial situations from time to time. You can make a difference. Make out a check to Petra, designating the Food Bank as the recipient of your gift.
PRAY: Pray for wisdom and grace as this ministry develops. Pray for unity among the leaders and volunteers as they seek to serve. Pray that God will fully meet the needs of people as they put their trust in him.

Anyone who wants to participate in the Food Bank must be approved, and should register prior to any food pick up. Contact the Food Bank Director.

This ministry provides food to people needing supplemental and temporary assistance. The dignity of every adult and child participating in this ministry remains intact as they are warmly invited to browse through the shelves of the Food Bank for the things they need.
