Analysis of diet and exercise
Obj 1: students will be able to utilize the “Myfitnesspal” website/app to enter their food and exercise into the program and analyze their diet
Obj 2: Students will describe changes they want to make in their diet and why it’s important to make those changes.
1st: Create/enter your profile
Please use your school email and password when creating your account.
2nd My Fitness PalTutorial Video’s
1st Using the iPad open the
2nd Watch the following 3 video’s
-> Introduction to MyFitnessPal-> Diary Basics
->Barcode Scanning
3rd : Click on Food
• Make sure you are using the correct date for your diet and exercise
• Click the appropriate box for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks and type in or scan in the item that you ate.
• Make sure you put in the correct serving size for each item you ate.
• Once this is done, go to the next slide
4th : Click on Exercise
• Under Cardiovascular, type in the physical activity you did.
• Enter how long you performed the activity
• DO NOT USE THE STRENGTH CATEGORY, it does not calculate calories burned.
5th: Using the Ipad, Click on the pie chart symbol
• Click on the nutrient details symbol • Then click on “Daily”.• Goal= Goal for that time frame entered• Left = IN BLACK: what you still need/could
consume. • = IN RED: where you went over (had too
much)
