Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all the members.
Little SIR - Vic Brewer
My Fellow Sirs,
Gentlemen, we have reached the end of another
year. A year that has been filled with many
wonderful things that we are thankful for.
One of which is the brotherhood of SIRs. I
myself have thoroughly enjoyed my three and a half years
with the Branch, and serving as an officer and Big SIR for
this past year. I want to thank the board members and
officers for all their support during my tenure.
A big thanks to our outgoing treasure Michael McCor-
mack. He started in 2013 and did a fabulous job.
Even though the time was short comparatively, I feel the
board has made good decisions and progressed farther
this year then many years past. Some of our accomplish-
ments will provide the Branch with structure for the fu-
ture. We established Branch 49 bylaws for the first time
in the history of the Branch. This is a living document that
will be edited and polished throughout the years. We also
established yearly dues first time. It's a small amount but
will help the Branch stay strong and be able to pay its bills.
In the coming year there will be a much needed and ac-
tive recruitment program, so that we can have more mem-
bers to sustain the Branch and keep it strong. Our officers
are set for this next year, but I would like to see more
men step up to the plate and volunteer for the coming
years.
There have been changes in the state order to include
more members. Hopefully those changes will help
strengthen SIR in large.
I thank each and every one of you and consider all of you
my friends.
On this 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, I want to say
to all of our surviving veterans of WWII, the most heart-
felt thank you for your service and sacrifice. If not for
you we might not be here.
With that, I close 2016 with God's blessing to you all and
the best of a new year to come.
Big SIR - Robert Eplett
