Gold Castle Records was a record label. It was co-owned by music industry veteran Danny Goldberg andJulian Schlossberg (co-producer / co-director of the live music film No Nukes). The General Manager of GoldCastle was Paula Jeffries, a former executive at Windham Hill. Its records were first distributed by Polygram, and then by CEMA, the EMI distribution arm at the time. During the mid- to late-1980s, the label became hometo such Baby Boomer icons as Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Peter, Paul and Mary and Eric Andersen, most of whomhad previously been without record deals during the years prior. Although most of the artists who recorded forthis company were already established artists, one unknown act released a record- the folk group The Washington Squares.

Free Spirit Records is an independent record label based in Yateley, Hampshire, United Kingdom. It was established in 2002, primarily as an outlet for the recordings of acoustic blues guitarist and singer, Sonny Black. The label was formerly distributed by [Red Lick Records, but this arrangement has beeninterrupted whilst Red Lick has been undergoing a change of ownership and address, resulting in a temporary period during which it has not traded. Confusingly, since 2006 another label has been tradingas "Free-Spirit Records", only the hyphen differentiating between the two.
