� ORID - The ORID (Objective, Reflective, Interpretive, Decisional) method is a form of structured conversation led by a facilitator.
� Developed by the Institute for Cultural Affairs, it is used as a means to analyze facts and feelings, to discover implications, and to make decisions intelligently.
� When led effectively by an experienced facilitator, participants are often unaware that they are taking part in a structured conversation.
� They will experience an informal discussion that eventually will lead to common ground.

Topic – a clear statement of the topic of conversation Rational Aim - the concrete goals to be achieved Experiential Aim : what you want participants to feel as a result of the discussion Opening – a clear and concise description of the issue and the hoped for outcome Closing – the remarks you want to be sure to address as a way to close the discussion Objective – the facts about the issue Reflective – the feelings and experience of people in the conversation Interpretive – the implications based on the facts and feelings Decisional – the consensus of decisions of the group based on the implications
