Investment attractiveness

The city of Rzeszów, capital of the Podkarpackie Province, has long been

associated with the aviation industry, the “Euro-Park” Mielec Special Economic

Zone, and clusters. The modern business services sector, particularly IT,

has significantly strengthened its presence in Rzeszów in recent years.

Unemployment is stable, and the academic courses offered by the nine

universities are adapted to the needs of the growing business community.

Four of the universities offer degree programmes in foreign languages as well as

foreign language courses. The foreign languages primarily taught in Rzeszów’s

schools are English, German, Spanish, French and Russian, along with others.

Rzeszów is the largest urban agglomeration in south-eastern Poland, and is only

168 km away from Kraków. The two cities are connected by the A4 motorway,

making it quite easy to commute between them.

Rzeszów is home to “RZESZÓW-JASIONKA” international airport with direct

connections to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Norway, France and

other countries. The city is also experiencing growth in the office building sector,

led by SkyRes Warszawska, a modern class A structure. General office space

in Rzeszów exceeds 75,000 m2, and nearly 30,000 m2 of new office space is

presently under construction. The BPO sector in Rzeszów is home to at least

29 companies, including those from the BPO, ITO and R&D sectors.
