Foam System Foam is an aggregate of gas filled bubbles formed rom aqueous solution. Foam forms a heat-resistant blanket, of density less than that of a flammable liquid and is able to extinguish fires by cooling, suppression of vaporisation, and by the prevention of access to oxygen. Surface foam pourer systems will be provided for fixed roof tanks and based on NFPA 11. Foam system will also be provided for the bunds of the odorant system, methanol tanks and condensate tanks. In addition to the fixed foam systems, mobile foam trolley systems shall also be provided to tank areas or where there is a risk of flammable liquid release.
