“GO ZIGGY!” Theo clapped.

Soon Theo met Ziggy.Ziggy was roller skating.

“Ziggy that’s not true,” Theo answered.“You are learning. If you keep trying, someday you will be a great skater!”

But no matter how hard Ziggy tried, he always fell down.

“Theo, I’ll never be able to skate!”he wailed.

Ziggy became frustrated.

“This line is so long!AND KIKI IS SO HUNGRY!” someone yelled.“KIKI WANTS ICE CREAM NOW!”

Ziggy was still practicing when Theo heard the ice cream truck.“What kind of ice cream do monsters like?” he wondered.

“I’m sorry I yelled,” Kiki said later. “I was mad.”“Sometimes I get mad too, Kiki,”Theo answered. “Then I need to take some time alone to calm down. It helps!”

“Kiki,” Theo said, “I know you feel angry, but we have to wait our turn. Why don’t you sit on the curb and I will bring your cone to you?”

“BLEE BI DE BLOO,”said one.

Theo had been walking a long time. He sat down under a beautiful tree to rest.Suddenly two monsters appeared!

“ZIPPITY ZOINK!” they yelled before rolling away down the hill.

“I don’t speak monster,” Theo answered.

“NEITHER DO WE!” Bingo and Bongo giggled.

“It’s just a silly day, so let’s all do a silly dance!”

“Oh,” Theo said. “Don’t cry!”He gave the poor monster a big hug. “Let’s look for your doll!”

The next thing Theo knew, someone was shaking his arm. He had fallen asleep.“Excuse me!” a sad monster cried. “Can you help me? I can’t find my doll!”

At last they found the doll!It was so nice to see Fin Fan smile.

Theo held Fin Fan’s paw as they retraced her steps.Fin Fan was so sad! It made Theo feel sad, too.

“Thanks for helping me be patient,” said Ziggy.“Thanks for getting my ice cream,” Kiki said.“Thanks for being silly with us,” said Bingo.

What a busy day in Monster Town!But it was time forTheo to go.
