• 6th Grade Math• I am in my seventh year of teaching 6th grade math at FMMS. I am a TAPP product
and have found my calling in education. • This year, I am hosting a student teacher, Ms. Destiny McLeod, from Fort Valley
State University. She will be teaching the observed lessons.• Students will be engaging in a series of poll questions via text message. The results
of the data will be used to broaden the understanding of ratios. Students will be given two choices and asked to text their choice to a number generated by www.polleverywhere.com. Collectively, Ms. McLeod and the students will transfer the data into ratios in simplest form.

• 7th Grade Language Arts• Greetings! My name is Quishawna Henderson, and this is my fifth year
teaching. I have taught at Burke County Middle School, Burke County High School and Houston County Crossroads Center. In the past I taught math and language arts, and I am elated to have the opportunity to teach at Feagin Mill Middle School.
• My class will be learning how to use context clues to make inferences about their text. Students will Google “Go Soap Box”. They will be prompted to put in an event code. Students will then answer questions related to making inferences in small units of text. The site allows students to answer questions without other students seeing their answers. Answers will only been seen by me. Other students in the class will not see anyone else’s answers.
All students will have the same assignment even if they do not have a device. Some students will use paper and pencil while others use their device. Technology is just a means for me to engage students beyond everyday classroom experiences. I like to be consistent with assignments and avoid punishing students for not owning a device.

Our code is 811-333-469. We will have a brief discussion on what is an inference. Students will then answer questions related to making inferences in small units of text. They will be able to answer the questions using the Go Soap Box and their Lesson will be using Soap Box in order to teach students about making inferences on text. Middle School. I have an Associate's Degree in Fine Arts from Middle Georgia College, a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia, & a Master's of Science in Education with a Specialization in Brain Research from NOVA Southeastern University. I began teaching in 2005 and was the Teacher of the Year in 2009-2010. I strive to make my Art classes more academic than your usual art class. In art, students not only experiment using various types of art media but also learn art history, art criticism, art appreciation, extended art vocabulary, phrases related to art, as well as careers in the arts. I am not only an art teacher, but also a free-lance artist, a wife and mom of two toddlers! I live in Eastman, GA and commute to Warner Robins every day! It's about an hour's drive but well worth it because FMMS is an Awesome school with Awesome teachers, faculty, and students! I love my job! It is a joy to do what I love every day!
• • Class Agenda: Students will create digital art through the use of smart phones &/or tablets.•
