A T S CIENCE INSTRUCTOR P OSITION OPENINGS : Course topics in clude marine biolog y, cor al reef ecolog y, ichthy olog y, anim al beha v ior, inv ert ebrate biolog y, sha rk biolog y, fis heries science, environmental science, marine aqu aria, and ma rine research. Courses are taught in local habitats wh ich include ma ngroves, coral reefs , tide pools, and sha llow marine sy stems. Ea ch course inv olves lab work, lecture, and f ield trips by boa ts, kay aks , and other tr ans port ation . Ins tr uctors part icipa te in all ca mp functions , serve as ca bin coun selors, and ass ist in cam per supervis ion. REQUIREMENTS : Science Instructors must be at least 21 years of age with a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to meet insurance requirements. M ust hav e a B . S . or B.A. in B iolog y, Ma rine Sci ence or r elated field. M ust be comfortable in the water and h av e str ong s wimming skills . S CUB A cert ifica tion is prefer red, but not r equired. Employment dates are May 23-August 31; May 23-December 20; or year round. B ENE FITS: Salary, room and board, opportunities for snorkeling, SCUBA diving (if certified), sailing, windsurfing, and practical experience teaching environmental awa reness in a tropical ma rine set ting. Upon suc cess ful com pletion of coursework, cer- tification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer; and NAUI Skin Diving Instruc- tor and NAUI Rescue Diver (if SCUBA certified). SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR POSITION OPENINGS:Course topics include marine biology, coral reef ecology, ichthyology, animal behavior, invertebrate biology, shark biology, fishe

science, environmental science, marine aquaria, and marine research. Courses are taught in local habitats which include mangrocoral reefs, tide pools, and shallow marine systems. Each course involves lab work, lecture, and field trips by boats, kayaks, and o

transportation . Instructors participate in all camp functions, serve as cabin counselors, and assist in camper supervision.

REQUIREMENTS:Science Instructors must be at least 21 years of age with a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to m

insurance requirements. Must have a B.S. or B.A. in Biology, Marine Science or related field. Must be comfortable in the w
