Ludovica and Roberto Palomba’s latest project for Foscarini is the result of a long

research process that has led to the creation of Fly Fly; a hanging lamp created with a

polycarbonate injection moulding technique that guarantees 360° illumination and makes it

appear like beach glass.

Palomba for Foscarini September 29, 2009

Foscarini is unveiling Fly Fly to the US this Fall, the most recent of a series of

debuts for 2009. The piece was designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba

and was the result of a long research process. Fly Fly was created with a

polycarbonate injection molding technique that guarantees 360° illumination

and makes it appear like beach glass.

The body of the fixture recalls high fashion millinery and organic forms with

wings that create a sensation of lightness, in white or orange coloring.
