The ‘f’ sound can be written in 2 different ways, f or ph. Complete the below questions in you books.

SPaG changing word class (nouns/adjectives/verbs)

Yesterday we looked verbs. Let’s refresh our minds - what is a noun or adjectives?

You can change nouns and adjectives into verbs by adding the suffixes -ate, -ise, -en and -ify.

In your books draw a chart similar to the one below. To check each say the root word (word below) and then add the suffix onto the end to see which one is correct. For example: Advert, advertate, advertise and so on.

Challenge: can you add any of your own to this list?
