FLCS Board of Parochial Education Minutes February 5, 2013 Members Present: Brad Brunkow, Tim Burden, Heather Flowers, Katie Schelp, Janet Goll; Scott Hamre, Bryan Vincent, visitors Tim opened meeting with prayer. Minutes from the January meeting were approved. Discussion of call committee formation and process for principal position. Potential committee members were recommended and will be contacted by Bryan Vincent. Principal’s Report: January has been full of events: spelling bee, geography bee, sock hop, mini-cheer camp, basketball, and National Lutheran Schools week. Upcoming events include the talent show (February 22), and auction (April 13). Open House will be held March 3. Regular Agenda: BOPE members reported on teacher visits. Old Business: BOPE positions were assigned as follows: PresidentTim, Vice PresidentBrad, SecretaryKatie, SocialHeather & Kendra. The Security and Safety Committee has met twice. Bids have been received. The Police Department is in the process of scheduling a security and safety evaluation of the campus. New Business: BOPE will continue to review Board Policy Manual and Personnel Handbooks. BOPE will review pages 17-23 of Student Handbook for the March meeting. Tim opened meeting with prayer.

Minutes from the January meeting were approved.
