EDMODOWith it’s facebook like layout, edmodo is consider is a “social learning platform” website for teachers and students.

It can be used as a classroom social media for assignments and studying. Parents can also use the site to view their child’s work and grades!

Educational social networking sites, like Edmodo, offer an opportunity to “connect with students and help them create norms and reflect on how different online actions will be interpreted. (Wikipedia.com)

EMAIL • Electronic mail, or email, is a

means of communication through the world wide web and is a great way to interact with students.

• Using email allow students the opportunity to learn proper netiquette and career preparedness.

WORLD WIDE WEBThe world wide web is a great research tool for students of all ages. The web is also used to share and store documents, including powerpoint presentations and word documents. It can also be used for educational games and recreation.

POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONSPowerpoints are a great teaching strategy for students because they help the students visualize the lesson or subject being lectured.

These are also benefical for students when doing research, presenting projects, and taking notes.

YOUTUBE/TEACHERTUBEYouTube and TeacherTube are video-sharing websites designed to

upload, view and share files, whether is be educational or recreational. These can be used as subject resources and references

for various educational subjects.

IPADSiPads in the classroom are a great resource and can be used as a virtual textbook and an excellent study tablet.

There are many FREE apps that can be downloaded for any educational subject and resourceful for study tips and homework helpers.

MEDIAMedia is a great source for teaching and technology because it exposes students to real life.

Everything dealing with the media, is also dealing with technology, which is the focus of the 21st Century.

Media includes everything listed in the previous slides and has a major effect on everyone, especially developing students.
