Turbine Flowmeter

Page 45: FLOW EQUIPMENTS.ppt

Turbine Flowmeter

Page 46: FLOW EQUIPMENTS.ppt

Turbine Flowmeter

• High accuracy • Fast response time • Very compact • Ideally for low viscosities <500 cSt • Liquid and Gases • Custom designed meters available!

Page 47: FLOW EQUIPMENTS.ppt

Turbine Flow Meters

• An excellent choice for low viscosity fluids• The moving fluids rotate the vaneTurbine.• The speed of the vane/Turbine is

proportional to the fluid velocity which is proportional to flow

Page 48: FLOW EQUIPMENTS.ppt

PD Meters

• Ideal for high viscosities >50 cP • High Pressure • Batching & blending

Page 49: FLOW EQUIPMENTS.ppt

Positive Displacement Meters

Page 50: FLOW EQUIPMENTS.ppt

PD Meters

• The Flow Technology line of positive displacement flow meters utilize two patented impellers (gears) to measure precise volumes of liquid that pass through the flow meter as the gears rotate. These meters are specifically designed to accurately measure thicker fluids such as resins, polyurethanes, adhesives, paints, and various petrochemicals

PD Meters• Designed for operating pressures up to 3,000

PSI • Repeatability: +/-0.05% of rate • Linearity: +/-0.1% with linearizing electronics. • Line Size: 1/8 to 1 inch • Turndown: Up to 1000:1 • Viscosity Range: Up to 1,000,000 cP+ • Materials of Construction: Housing and cover

material are 316 SS • Operating Pressure: Up to 3000 psig

Coriolis Mass Flowmeter• Measurement of mass flow in viscous liquids and slurries • Using the Coriolis effect that causes a laterally vibrating

tube to distort, a direct measurement of mass flow can be obtained in a coriolis flow meter.

• As material flows through the mass Coriolis flow meter, the flow tube is vibrated and the resulting Coriolis forces/deflection are measured to determine mass flow rate and density.

• Process connections are flange ends and threaded ends.

• A wide range of analog or pulse output and local display options are available.

Thermal Mass Flow Meter

• A heated sensor element is cooled by the fluid flow.

• The result of the temperature difference is proportion to mass flow flow rate.

• The integral electronics provide frequency or analog signal proportional to flow
