FSGA BULLETIN
MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT:
Conference is fast approaching and will be here before we know it. This year we have some phenomenal presenta-tions and diverse subject matter. Get your hotel reservations soon if you have not already. We are so excited to be in Miami. We have a very active South Florida Chapter as well as active chapters in Palm Beach, Broward and Southwest Florida. We can’t wait to explore the fabulous downtown Miami area with museums, and the Wynwood art district. I look forward to the time when so many of our members are together again learning and having fun. Home Care As-sistance is our Diamond Sponsor this year, our members and board would like to thank them for their generous support. Also to our many other sponsors and exhibitors, we could not have the conference without you!
Is Board Service for you? There are several open positions on our board. Please see page 6 for details. The FSGA Board meets numerous times a year in person in Kissimmee. We work on a myriad of issues effecting guardians and drive the association forward . If you would like to be considered, send along the nomination form and your resume or CV for consideration.
The “Rally in Tally” was a huge success. Natalie with Acclaim Strategies has hit the ground running and we thank her for educating Florida legislators and recognizing the good guardians that we have in our great state. To get involved in our lobbying efforts contact the Pam Keller, Legislative Committee Chair.
Thank you for your continued membership in the FSGA,
FSGA President, Sherri Graham

GUARDIANSHIP EDUCATION
Read our article in the statewide publication of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, which contains
consumer tips on what to look for to tell a good guardian from a bad one. Our committee members
contributed to the article so it was truly a committee-wide effort!
We have also submitted an article to Senior Scene in Brevard County on guardianship myths vs.
facts. There are more senior publications interested in our articles, so feel free to increase that
number by submitting to Al a senior or neighborhood publication in your area!
Also, a reminder to please subscribe to our YouTube Channel so you can get the latest guardianship
educational videos! Click here for the full Elder Update
