FBR: Flight of the Jungle Chicken

    May 2, 2013

    Karen State, Burma

    Dear friends,

    Thank you!

There are good changes in Burma, but attacks and oppression continue. Never Surrender are

the final words of the motto of the Free Burma Rangers, which reads: Love each other.

Unite and work for freedom, justice and peace. Forgive and dont hate each other. Pray with

faith, act with courage, never surrender. In sports, climbing or as a soldier, surrender was not

an idea I would tolerate. But as I look back at my life, I realize that I have chosen to surrender

many times: to selfishness, pride, and sin. We are never to surrender to our own sin or

others oppression. We are to surrender to God and to His love and direction. I want the story

of my life and the story of the 70 FBR relief teams to be: never surrender to sin but surrenderto God. Thank you for how we work together for freedom, justice, reconciliation in Burma.

    May God bless you,

Dave, family and all the Free Burma Rangers

The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) mission is to provide hope, help and love to internallydisplaced people inside Burma, regardless of ethnicity or religion. Using a network of

indigenous field teams, FBR reports on human rights abuses, casualties and the humanitarian

needs of people who are under the oppression of the Burma Army. FBR provides medical,

spiritual and educational resources for IDP communities as they struggle to survive Burmese

    military attacks.
