Creating the Flick FlyerWe helped organize and format the text so that it would look appealing and emphasized the more important information with a larger font. The picture features Michael Chin, a professional fight choreographer that is a big name in the film industry, and who also was the headline workshop presenter for the film festival.

Flick BrochureWe created a sample brochure for Flick, containing information about the day of the festival. While we ending up going with a professional IUP event template, it was still good experience in using Microsoft Word templates to create a brochure.

We wrote on the sidewalks with chalk to advertise Flick

the week before.

The Odyssey Online Article

The Odyssey is an online publishing outlet for college students. Many of their articles are shared across facebook so we created a “5 Reasons to Attend Flick” article that can be shared across social media.

The PennAn article about our event was written in IUP’s newspaper. In order for this to occur, we used our public relations expertise to get into contact with them.

BannerWe helped decide what information was important to put on a banner advertising Flick. We were also in charge with contacting administrators to get permission to hang up the banner in front of the HUB. After the event, we took the banners down and rolled them up so they can be reused in the follow years.

IUP-TV CoverageTo get the news out about our event we contacted local news stations such as IUP-TV and WTAE to cover the event.
