INSTALLATING AND RECONFIGURING FLEXFRAME
An overview of FlexFrame:
Installation tips
Components and integrated technology
Reconfiguration
20
STEP 1Attach wall mount brackets to wall
STEP 2Attach frame pieces to divide sections and outline workwall perimeter. Frames come in four heights and widths ranging from 2-12 feet.
INSTALLING FLEXFRAME
INSTALLATION TIPS:
Attach FlexFrame wall mount brackets with toggle bolts
and attach frame pieces to brackets; no need to hit studs
or reinforce walls.
Integrate power and data, attach storage and worksurfaces.
Facilities personnel usually handle reconfiguration.
21
STEP 3Integrate modular power and data system (or hardwire corded solution).
STEP 5Attach cantilever desk, table, or worksurface if desired.
STEP 4Attach shelves, bins or drawers (shown with optional wire management cut-outs) for each section. Attach skins to create cable management space and to finish appearance of workwall.
STEP 6Finish power and data hook up.
STEP 7Make final power and data connections and install trim plates.
FRAMES
Frames define the dimensions of a workwall and support workwall components.
POWER INFEED
Hardwire power infeed brings the power source into the workwall. Modular, hard-wired and corded power available.
SKINS
Optional skins conceal wiring and add function and aesthetic interest to workwall. Wood, laminate, glass, fabric, technology, tv, cable management and worksurface attachment skins available.

COMPONENTS AND INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY
FlexFrame storage, worksurface and technology
components install and reconfigure without
demolition and disruption, or outside trades.
Workwalls support a wide variety of displays,
monitors and other devices. Power and data
are built in and easily managed. Plus, FlexFrame
seamlessly integrates media:scape technology.
The FlexFrame system creates work environments
that can change at a moment’s notice.
INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY
Workwalls integrate technology with wire management, power and data distribution, and attachment of monitors and cameras.
TECHNOLOGY SKINS
Technology skins support easy plug and play. Power outlets, Extron data, and LED light switches available.
WIRE MANAGEMENT
The space behind the skins provides a wire management cavity.
Wires route horizontally or vertically.
LED LIGHTING
Optional integrated lights available on shelves, bins, and drawers.
MODULAR POWER & HARNESSES
Modular power system includes base power trays, modular harnesses, receptacle kits, a base power infeed and modular technology skins. Modular harnesses are available in lengths from 24" to 120". Harnesses compatible with 1-circuit and 2-circuit receptacle kits.
COMPONENTS
Each height workwall frame can hold a specific combination of
components, including shelves, bins, drawers, and skins. Heights of
components are multiples of 8¼". Components are easily added,
removed or repurposed. Available in laminate or wood veneer.
23
24
SHROUDS
Optional shrouds encase 32", 42", 55", or 65" monitors.
TV ATTACHMENT SKINS
Skins support monitors up to 65" or 200 pounds with 3" monitor height adjustability. Large cutout accomodates for cords and cables behind TV.
PUCK
PUCK interfaces with user’s laptop and the switcher in the techbox to allow easy content display. The PUCK controls which laptop content is shown on the display(s).
GROMMET
Grommet has six power outlets. Two outlets accommodate large power adapters. Extron data access available. Non-directional, removable grommet end provides easy access for all.
TECHBOX
TechBox supports the worksurface and conceals cords, cables and media:scape electronic components.
MONITOR CONTROL BOX
Monitor control box enables display to automatically turn on. System is activated by connecting a laptop to PUCKs (personal user control key).
WORKSURFACES
Worksurface attachment skins allow a variety of worksurfaces to attach to workwall.
CABLE MANAGEMENT SKINS
Flexible bottom strip allows for easy skin removal and cord and cable pass through. This skin is
used with shelves and bins.
DESKS & TABLES
Desks and tables with optional media:scape create high performance collaborative applications in private offices and meeting spaces. Cantilever table provides for clear access around perimeter of the table.

PRIVATE OFFICE
COLLABORATION SPACE
Changing a private office into a collaboration space has never been
easier or more cost effective.
• Less than three hours of labor
• No construction, demolition or disposal
• Minimal cost for a few additional components
• Repurpose unused components in other FlexFrame spaces
RECONFIGURING FLEXFRAME
FlexFrame reconfigures in short time frames.
Storage, worksurfaces, skins, lighting and technology
components can be reused in other FlexFrame
workspaces, limiting component inventory. And since
reconfiguring is usually handled by facilities employees,
every FlexFrame workspace change is faster, simpler and
less disruptive than a conventional construction project.
