Experimental Method

• Nichrome Loop method and Cotton bud method

• Test tubes for different solutions


Nichrome Loop Method

• Clean the wire

• Dip the wire in the metal solution

• Burn


Cotton Bud Method

• Clean the bud

• Dip the bud in solution

• Burn


Vegetables

• Get a small piece

• Burn and compare


Eggshell and Chalk

• .5 g of each+5mL of concentrated HCl

• Separate the liquid

• Dip the bud/loop in the liquid

• Burn and compare


Observations for Cotton Bud

• Takes time

• Sometimes streaks only

• Same color but different shades

• Bud burning
