This is in connection with our poultry farm located at Bgy. Pulong Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, Laguna, which was issued Mayor and Business Permit in 1998.

While we secured the renewal of the permits in 1999 and 2000, the same was denied, allegedly because of the opposition of the Sangguniang Barangay claiming that our poultry causes hazard to the health of the inhabitants thereat.

The op.position of the Sangguniang Barangay has no basis. Contrary to· its allegations, the poultry farm is clean and that no . hazardous odor emanates from it that would pose hazard to the health of the inhabitants. To prove this, we attached herewith the findings of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Officer, Rogelio . Delgado.

In view hereof. may we appeal for the following measures:

a. Issuance.of Mayor's Permit and Business Permit; and

b . Reconsideration of San.gguniang Bayan Resolution No. 239-99 "na hinihiling ang pagsasara ng nasabing poultry farm," on the ground that the same has not been approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Laguna.

We are willing to abide by any lawful rules and regulations that the Municipal Govei:nment may impose upon us, even as we commit to maintain our poultry farm clean and not hazardous to persons and animals alike .
